Last week

Last week had been quite a busy week. Actually march is quite an exciting month in our family . We have two big occasions to celebrate Birthday's of two very special and important people in my life. One being  the person who gave birth to me  and other being my lil angel who makes my  life special from the time she is born. Yes B day of my sweet mom and my lil sis..Even though we tried celebrating my Mom's B day from so many years, She likes to keep it simple and quiet.  My sister's B day falls just after 3 days of my mom's.So we have a double celebrations.

With good friendship comes great responsibility

We meet someone sometimes and we connect so well, you feel  that we have been friends for life. Even though we don't  get to meet or talk to them on daily basis but still in your heart you are connected. Mutual admiration, love and care is what that keeps this friendship going.. Even though  we are separated by distance there is this amazing bond which makes that friendship priceless. I am thankful to God that he blessed me with such amazing and darling friends who not only love me but make me feel special .Ahem! Before people cry on speech on friendship I better control , I don't want to get senti here.

 

Thank You God for another year...

January almost came to an end... And got to tell you it was quite an eventful month.. This month is special and I love it for various reason.. One obvious reason is my birthday is in January... Yayyyyy ! :D

Keeping up with my blogger friends...

January is the most busiest month of the year.. Its quite busy as expected but unexpected health  twist is taking a toll on my schedule. I have been traveling quite a lot in this year. And I have another two trips scheduled for the next 2 weeks to come. Added to the misery cold waves are making my health unpredictable.Due to my busy schedule and my sickness I was not able to read most of the blogs written by blogger friends on time.. So one fine day when I had time I sat and I was reading post after post, visiting blog after blog and commenting on them .. For a second it looked as if I am back in college preparing for my examination and comments area is my examination paper.

The grown up monkey's

When we were kids , around 7 years and odd I remember  dad dressing us up at night with sweaters and monkey caps  (the cute ones) to bed not only that he used to tuck us all in proper woolen blankets. We all used to sleep cozy in a huge king sized bed  with mom and dad (Definitely the best days of life. Now I cant even imagine all of us in the same bed). Anyways dad used to make sure that not even an inch is left uncovered, because if one of the kids fell sick rest of the 3 will just follow... Even after such care when dad used to get up in the middle of the night to check on us, we used to kick off the blanket throw away the cap and remove the sweater.. So my dad decided to get us men wala monkey caps like this one (pic below) which was tough to get rid off ..

Resolution???

Hey Guys! How is New year treating you ?   Mine is good so far .... Can't say its rocking but yeah things seem pretty OK , when compared to 2011. hmmmm ...  

2011-A year of disruption

I can rant about how bad this year had been for a whole day and still something will be left out for the next day. That's how horrible this year had been. Most depressing, disappointing, dreadful and disgusting year I have ever faced in my whole life.(I can still add few more d's in the list .. But I am giving it a miss ) I would officially call it my worst year of my life.Not that I say that my life had been a bed of roses.Yeah I can mouth 2 years when I thought that I had seen the worst.  

2006 was an year of realization that I wish  not even my worst enemy to face..But it was only on the personal front.1st time in my life I saw betrayal. And I was heart broken, scattered emotionally.  But professional front it was an awesome year so I didn't call it worse. But that year taught me so much. Today if I can say I am matured all thanks to 2006 . So 2006 off the worst year list..

Lost and Found - My Christmas Spirit :D

Its Christmas all around but somehow this year I am missing the Christmas excitement I don't know why. I didn't jump when mom announced about our Christmas shopping. I picked up very simple dress, neither was I excited about Christmas cleaning part.Because of me, my sister decided to have a low profile Christmas too. I am kind of a person who gets excited for anything and everything .Even though I am grown up now I still get excited on my birthday like a 5 year old. I pretend to sleep early that night but wide awake to see who will wish me first.  Unlike my other siblings I try to be with my parents on my "The day" what ever be the circumstances .   ( cause I love the attention and pampering I get that day)

Recently my dear younger sister's gesture bowled me over. As you know that I am staying at my native, so my dad replaced me to take care of younger sis in chennai.On 27th Nov it was my dad's birthday, usually his big day is celebrated in a big way. We arrange thanks giving and invite relatives, However this was not the case this year. My dad preferred solitude . Daughters being daughters cant leave parents alone.So my sister decided to celebrate his birthday. Since I wasn't there she has to play the chef, playing safe she choose a simple menu. Unfortunately she fell sick on thursday but somehow managed to put up some finger licking dishes ( my dad's word's). I am so proud of  you my chotipari.:D After which I found this on her face book page..

Protective Me

 Gayatri 's post  "The Monkey" reminded me of a forgotten story. Thought I will share it. Hope you find it a interesting read.

We are a big family .A family of 6. I have an elder sis, younger sis and youngest of all, my brother. Even though I am very attached to my siblings and always protective. But I'm super duper protective about my younger sis in particular.

Our family was attending our aunt's wedding. Marriage Hall is behind our relative's house, Its a 10 minutes walk from their house, but there is a short cut to the venue, all we got to do was jump the compound wall and in 2 minutes we will be there. Usually in weddings elders are busy to mind their kids, cause they have to take care of various customs and stuff. so all the kids form a group and play .

Accused of being modern

 Why do people get judgmental? If I talk about religion I am religious fanatic. If I say I like that gay couple in modern family Cameron and Mitchell, it means I' am against God? If I talk to a married male friend of mine, who by the way is my best friend, it means I'm having an affair??? If I have no problem with a Christian married to another religion person Am I a sinner. And then I'm accused to be modern. I'm seriously confused now... Previously when someone says I am modern. I used to take it as a compliment. But recently when one of my friends called me modern I felt as if I was accused.

The Good book says.." So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?" mat 6:31. but unfortunately we as girls do not abide to God's words. We don't even think that we are actually breaching God's commandment. In this busy and superficial world all girls / women think about is, what to eat and what to wear. . A typical women or shall we call (married women) gets up in the morning thinking about what she will be cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner etc, A middle aged women gets up thinking how less and healthy can she eat so that she will not add on calories and what colors should I wear to look thin , A teenager gets up thinking how should I dress up that I look different yet chic.

Celebrating Mother!!

Almost everyone love their mother. Cause she that special someone who brought us into this world. thought us everything , cleared all our doubts from the smallest to the biggest. She is the Best cook in the world. She is what you long to be.. She is this , she is that.

Words are inadequate to explain what she means to us..
